What I Wore To The Historic Town of Galena, Illinois

 Last weekend my husband and I took a romantic getaway to Galena, Illinois.  I will do a travel post of this charming little town in the future, but for today's fashion post, I wanted to show you what I wore.

It was a beautiful fall day.  The morning  was cool, cloudy, and a tad rainy so I started the day with a black cardigan on.  However, as the day went on the sun came out and it really heated up, so I no longer needed the cardigan.

 My top and pants are both new.  I picked up this gorgeous black floral peasant top at J.C. Penney's for about $5.00 after my coupon.  The brown pants I showed you on Monday's Fashion Post.  I bought those at Macy's using a gift card.

I chose this outfit because I wanted to look nice, but be comfortable.  I wore flat, black, combat boots (old) for I knew I would be walking all day.  I knew it would be a warm day (70's), but I still wanted to wear fall attire.  The sheer blouse has fall colors, but is light weight enough to help keep me cool.

I always carry cross body bags or back pack bags when I'm traveling.  They keep my arms free (a must for holding that coffee cup!)   They also provide more security than regular handbags.

For jewelry, I chose silver and black.  I picked up these long pendant earrings on clearance at JCP.  My choker is from Forever 21.  Sunnies are also from JCP.

As I stated earlier, the top is very sheer, so I wore a black camisole underneath.  The top also has a lace up detail, which I left undone.

My cross body I purchased at a gift shop on one of my vacations out west.

And even though I wore  silver bracelets to Galena, I picked up this beauty at a gift shop there and rather than carry it, I put it on my other wrist.  Isn't it pretty?  And do you know the best part?  You can wear it as a choker as well!  That's right!  It can be wrapped twice around your wrist to be worn as a bracelet, as shown below, or it can be worn as a choker (not shown).
