Cased February Christmas Cards

Hello!  Today I have my February Christmas Cards. As most of you already know, I play the Christmas Card Challenge on Splitcoaststampers where we make Christmas Cards all year long so we don't have to make any during the busy holiday season.  I make four Christmas Cards a month so that I'll have about fifty at the end of the year.
With the month of February being so short, I  unfortunately have no original ideas for my cards;I just wanted to get them done,  so I cased some of my favorite cards of some new stamps I just purchased.

My first card I cased from the fabulous Jodi Collins.  I kept the exact same layout and glittered the ball with Crystal Effects and glitter just like she did (what a fabulous idea, it really works well).  The only thing I changed was the papers and button.

This card was cased from Silke Ledlow.  I kept the same layout, but changed all the papers and colors.
This card was cased from Barbara Anders. I loved how she didn't color her image.  I thought that was so effective.  It really makes the ornament and the meaning of the sentiment stand out.  I changed the ribbon treatment and papers on my card, but obviously kept the same layout and concept.  The ornament was cut out of white paper and covered in glitter, then glued back on the the main image panel.
And finally my last card was cased from one of my favorite stampers Dawn Burnworth.  I kept the same layout, but changed the paper, trims, and Nesties to what I already had in stock.
Have a great day! Amy

Digital Tuesday Challenge 'Birthdays'

Hello and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge.  This week's challenge is 'Birthdays'.  Simply make a card or project with a birthday theme and be sure to include at least one digital element.  Our sponsor this week is Spesch Designer Stamps and they are giving away 3 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

To make my card, I used the Spesch Designer Stamp image 'Sophie Digital Stamp', and a sketch by Splitcoaststampers (SC423).   The paper is from K & Co 'Confetti' and the sentiment is K & Co 'Birthday Words Grand Adhesions'.  I put crystal effects on the balloons.

If you'd like to play along with us this week, simply click on the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blinkie in my sidebar and it will take you directly to the Challenge Blog with further instructions.

Have a great day! Amy

Felt Designs

Hello!  Today I have a couple of cards to show you that use purchased felt shapes as the main image instead of stamped images or digis.  I absolutely love felt...it just oozes cuteness and charm to me, so when I spotted these pre-made felt images at JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts, I just had to buy them.  You can find felt images in the seasonal/holiday aisles, and also in the Kid's Crafts sections and the dollar bins at JoAnn's.  The two felt images pictured below were found in the Valentines Craft Aisle.

Both cards use the same Clean and Simple Sketch from Splitcoaststampers (SC422).  My first card  uses a cupcake image.  To mimic the heart on the cupcake, I embossed the Kraft panel with a Cuttlebug Heart Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts, and the designer paper is unknown.

My second card also uses a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the white background.  The designer paper is DCWV 'Lemon Flower'.  And my sentiment is also from the dollar bins at JoAnn's.  It says 'I could wag my tail' on the inside of the card.
Using felt images is so quick and easy.  You don't even need glue! Just peel off the paper backing on the back of the image, and stick it right to your card.  Give it a try!

Have  a great day! Amy
