I have been trying to avoid purchasing sleeveless tops this summer but somehow ended up purchasing three more. What can I say? They just don't make enough cute short sleeve tops and when I see a cute sleeveless one I lose all my willpower.
This olive green one sold me on the colors, the embroidery, and the swing style. I only wish it had sleeves! But because it is dark, I can see wearing this under a jacket or sweater in cooler weather....there's my sleeves!
Right now, it's too warm for outerwear, so I did wear it as is. I styled it with navy blue pull on pants by Liz Claiborne (old) and gold and brown accessories and shoes.
The top is by a.n.a, and is sold at JCP. It is a gauze material and has gorgeous embroidery on both the yoke and the hem line. It also comes in two other colors.
While selecting which pictures to use for my blog, I noticed I was developing a farmers tan from all the gardening I have been doing. I'm trying to avoid getting any more sun on my back or chest, so I've been wearing t-shirts in the garden. I think I need to switch to tank tops and just put sunscreen on my chest and upper back.
I picked up this cute necklace and matching earrings set while on vacation at Myrtle Beach.
The bag was a gift from my daughter. I wore gold bracelets to accent the gold detail in the necklace.
I absolutely love the scalloped, embroidered detail in this top.
My shoes I picked up on clearance for $9.97 at DSW the day after Christmas. This is the first time I was able to wear them. They are by Steve Madden.
I really liked the color combo of olive and blue in this top. I kept it simple on myself by wearing pants the exact same color as the blue in the top. I'm not sure what other bottom colors would go with this top. I would love suggestions from my helpful readers of other bottom colors I could wear. You gals always give me the best tips!
There is a keyhole button closure on the back of the top. The pleated design of the top makes it nice and roomy. I love tops that don't cling for summer. The style, combined with the gauze material, will make it very comfortable to wear in the heat of the summer. I'm wearing a medium for size reference.
