I made this card back in March for a Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch Challenge. Splitcoaststampers is an on-line community of card makers, stampers, and scrapbook enthusiasts. They have challenges every day of the week and one of my favorite challenges is the Sketch Challenge.
Although I look at the sketch challenge every week, I rarely play along. Mostly, because I don't have time, but I am also picky about the type of sketches I want to do. This week, I happened to like the sketch so much I decided to play along. Here is the sketch pictured below:

| Photo Credit I had this old Crafty Secrets (no longer in business) image that was perfect for this sketch because it was already in the shape of a circle. All I had to do was color it in and cut it out. Easy peasy. |
Here's a close up of my coloring. I used Copic Markers to color.
I used designer paper from My Mind's Eye "Stella Rose" for the background. I cut the scalloped border and the sentiment using dies from Spellbinders and My Favorite Things.
I enjoyed this sketch and had a lot of fun playing along with the other Splitcoaststampers ladies.
I'm entering this card in the Four Seasons Challenge.
Have A Great Day! Amy

Oh Amy! This is so beautiful!! You color so beautifully too! I color but for pure relaxation and I can tell you it does not look like most of anyone’s great work. 😂
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the online group. How neat!!
Do you scrapbook too?
Thank you Chrissy. Yes, I was a scrapbooker long before I was a card maker. I only scrap book digitally now. I wish there were a way to share my scrapbook pages here on my blog; you'd think it'd be easy since they are digital, but I can't seem to figure out how other than to take a photo of the pages, so I haven't shared my digital scrapbooks here.
DeleteOh, I would love to see them!! Man! I am trying to decide if I want to scrapbook digitally or if I want to just do basic photo books.
DeleteWhat a lovely card! I love the pretty picture of the house. How cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Kim!

Thank you. Ellie's post directed me to your website. I had no idea you were a part of it. What a nice surprise.
DeleteVery pretty! As I've written before, you really have a great color sense and I love the sentiment on the card! I'm guessing it's very fun seeing your vision come to life!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
DeleteA very charming card!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat is really cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteJust beautiful. And my favorite colors!! Every time I read one of your card making posts and go over to look at copic markers on Amazon. I need to pull the trigger and get some. Such smooth shading and good coverage and vivid color.
ReplyDeleteThank you. If you color a lot, like I do, Copics are worth the investment. I started small, and built my collection up. Copic markers are also refillable, which really helps with the cost. You can also try off brand alcohol markers. My granddaughter uses those and loves them.
DeleteAmy, this is darling! I'm like you--not much for "challenges," but sometimes I can make it work with what I like. :) Thank you for sharing this with us at the Will Blog for Comments #87 linkup. We hope to see you at #88--sharing old or new posts--when it opens Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, "challenges" can be "challenging" :)
DeleteI don't do sketch challenges often anymore but once in a while they are extra special and I can see why you decided to follow along with this one. Your card turned out beautifully! So happy you linked up at my Garden Party and the Four Seasons challenge too!
ReplyDeleteI only play along when I have the time and they do a sketch I like. Most of the sketches I am not interested in. Thanks so much.
DeleteAmy, how cute! I love this card. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie.
