Ageless Style is a monthly style challenge and link up for women of all ages. Each month we pick a different theme and style an outfit based on that theme. This month's theme is "Fuzzy or Furry" and was picked by Jodie!
Well today is the first day of spring, yet we just had another winter storm yesterday. We have had some nice days the past month with temperatures in the 60's, but then that darn cold and snow always comes back. So, when Jodie picked "Fuzzy or Furry" as our challenge, I was A-OK with it since it's still winter in Wisconsin.
My "Fuzzy or Furry" item is this little black furry jacket. I don't get much use out of it because it's not a winter coat, but it is perfect for the in-between seasons. It may not look like it, but this coat is WARM. I can't even stand to have it on when I'm indoors, because it is too warm.
The jacket is from 2019 and the last time I showed it to you was in my
Cozy Holiday Fashion post. There I dressed it up with a dark silhouette and gold accessories.
The above photo shows that the jacket can be dressed up or down, so it is very versatile. In today's post, I am showing a dressed-down version by pairing it with wide leg light blue jeans, and a black and white polka dot blouse.
The jacket hits just below the hip which I think is the perfect length because it will cover most untucked shirts.
I completed the outfit with a black belt, black Chelsea boots and a black handbag for a head to toe chic look.
So what about you? Do you have anything fuzzy or furry in your closet? I'd love to hear from you!
Have A Great Day! Amy

That's such a cute and cozy jacket! Perfect for the up and down Midwest weather. I woke up to snow this morning - not the best way to welcome spring!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
Thank you Jill! Oh, isn't the Midwest weather terrible during transitional seasons. I always say, we don't have 4 seasons, just summer and winter.
DeleteAmy, we have similar styles today. I am also wearing a fleece layer, because like you we have many chilly days ahead so a layer like that is exactly what you need. Hopefully warmer days are coming real soon.

Yes, we do! Mine may be hard to see in the photo, but it is a thin faux fur and not like your typical fleece jacket. Yes, there are still many chilly days ahead, with brief warm days inbetween.
DeleteYou look very polished in this fuzzy black coat. I like the wood stack as your background, too.

Thank you. I guess the wood stack is symbolic of our cold ha ha. There really was no where else in the yard to photograph as it's just a sea of brown and mud right now. Hopefully soon things will green up.
DeleteThat is a wonderfully versatile jacket! I have a couple of fuzzy coats but they are not warm at all and are all in my donation bags since I pretty much never wear them.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I totally understand donating coats. I feel we live in climates where lightweight jackets are impractical because you don't get to use them much. It's usually so cold I need a winter jacket or it's hot. The in-between seasons don't last long enough to warrant having too many lightweight jackets.
DeleteSuch a great look and it's perfect for this in-between season! Last night we had our 2nd snowfall within less than a week. Last Friday however summer was here with 80 degrees. Mother Nature is so confused LOL. I feel like we had all 4 seasons in less than a week.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Mother Nature is definitely confused. We had summer like temperatures too last week and now it's cold again.
DeleteHey look I can finally comment. Maybe because i'm doing it from my phone. But these furry items are really warm, aren't they?? I think that's why I like them so much. And even though you'd think I wouldn't need them in our weather, it does get chilly.

Jodie
Yup! You said that before that you can comment from your phone. That's great. Yes, these furry items do keep you warm.
DeleteDon't you love that first day of spring and it snows! Kind of similar here in the early morning when I go to work it is 33-35 degrees and then it gets up to 62-64 degrees such a difference!

I know! It's ridiculous. It's still not in the 60's here consistently. We've had a few 60 degree days but then it gets cold again.
DeleteVery nice, I have similar one. Its a fabulous spring day here, no need for fuzzyness!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Glad to hear you having nice weather.
DeleteI love a little furry jacket like this- so key when winter is battling it out with spring!

Definitely!
DeleteA great choice for transitional weather. The versatility of the jacket makes it a valuable piece in any wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It sure does.
DeleteWhat a cute little jacket. It looks great with every combination!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLove that jacket. I tried one on at Old Navy in the fall and should have snatched it up but PC was along and he probably would have questioned whether I truly needed another jacket (honestly, no). So I passed on it. Dad gum it!! Such a versatile piece - fun styled with the wider legged jeans and chic paired with the darker silhouette. What a substantial woodpile you guys have!! Gotta keep those darling kitties warm.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know. I have so many little jackets too it's ridiculous. They just don't get much wear because most of the time in Wisconsin we need a parka, not a light weight jacket. Thanks so much! That "substantial woodpile" is only a 1/8 of what we have. Hubby is ridiculous. He keeps a 3 year supply of wood, he says one batch always has to keep drying.
DeleteAmy, I just love your ageless style post! You look great in that furry jacket. :) Thank you for sharing your style post with us at The Crazy Little Lovebirds link party. I hope you will join us again this Friday.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteLovely cosy jacket! Thanks for linking!

Thanks!
DeleteYour outfit is chic! I, too, have a few fuzzy jackets but they can be so warm if I try to wear them while inside. I like the black jacket with your jeans. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Good to hear I'm not the only one who thinks they are too warm to wear indoors. They look like they could be worn as a cardigan, but they are just too warm.
