I debated whether or not to even show this card on my blog since its SO SIMPLE, but then I thought, why not, just about everyone is looking for easy to make, fast, masculine card ideas. I know I am! I do a card ministry at my church where I have to send out birthday, anniversary, get well, sympathy, encouragement, new baby, etc. cards to members of our congregation, and every single time I have to send a card to a man, I NEVER have one already done in my stash. Why? Because I tend to make cutesy or feminine cards, since that's my style. So, when I looked at my birthday list last week and realized I had to send a card to a grown man and had nothing in my stash, I thought, 'Shoot, I'm going to have to quickly make one before I leave for work'. I literally threw this card together in about 15 minutes. I know, it looks it. LOL! I knew this gentleman loved sports, and played golf, so I chose this image that I bought from the dollar bin at JoAnn's. I barely colored it at all, so that was a huge time saver! The sentiment is computer generated. The paper is DCWV 'All About Guys' Stack. The only embellies I added were a bit of ribbon and some brads. The main image panel is up on dimensionals. See, I told you it was simple! But I'm sure he liked it!
Have a great day! Amy
Fabulous Amy! I do think guys prefer simple. One year I gave dh a card with a lot of metal embellishments on it, and he asked "what are they supposed to do?" LOL! What do you say to that?
ReplyDeleteGreat MANLY card!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it looks 'thrown together', I think it looks well planned out. The choice of plaid paper is perfect for a golf theme and the sentiment is so cute. I'm sure he will love it.
ReplyDeleteI am quite sure he loved. I think guys like simple cards.. They don't like fluff.. Great job Amy.
ReplyDeletePerfect masculine card. Guys don't like all the extra fluff.
ReplyDeleteAwesome design and paper!
