More, and More Post-It-Note Holders

A local woman's group in the community in which I live asked me to make twelve Post-It-Note Holders for their next meeting. They wanted a 'Nature Theme'. So I made twelve different styles, and I think I used just about every Nature stamp I own. LOL! I've included a picture of each and every one on today's post, but I only showed the inside of one of them. The Holders are reusable. The recipient simply has to glue a new Post-It Pad on when they run out of Notes.

The first Post-It-Note Holder uses images from the new Stampin Up! Set "Forest Friends". I just love the images in this set. They are so sweet and adorable.

My second holder uses images from the retired Stampin Up! set "Touch of ature."

This little birdie is a one dollar stamp from Imaginisce. Isn't he a cutie? The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets 'Bird Notes'.

The Butterly and sentiment from this Holder are from Stampin Up! 'Flight of the Butterfly'.

'Bambi' is also from SU! 'Forest Friends.

And so is my little owl friend.

This sweet garden image of the bird and the water can is from Stampin Up! 'Thoughts of Father'.

The bird with the basket of apples is from retired Stampin Up! 'Feathered Hope'. I put crystal effects on the apples to make them shiny.

'Noble Deer' from Stampin Up! was used for this holder.

These beautiful images are from retired Stampin Up! 'On Gossamer Wings'.

This cute fox is another $1.00 stamp from Imaginisce.

And finally, this beautiful pot of flowers is from Crafty Secrets 'Garden Girls'.

I hope you enjoyed looking at my Post-It-Note Holders today. They really are quick and easy to make. Sorry for the bad photography, but I had to take the photos early in the morning and had that strange 'blue light' thing going on again. Maybe now that's its summer, I'll be able to go outside and take my pictures like a lot of other people do.

I got to spend a good part of the day in the garden yesterday. I would have liked to stay outside and worked longer, but unfortunately I started to feel my body give out on me and so I came inside to start working on my Father's Day cards to sell at my local consignment store. So I will be posting those soon.

Garden Birthday Wishes

Well even though I had lots of catching up to do around the house and garden, I managed to squeeze in one card yesterday. To make the most of my time, I played three challenges: The Splitcoaststamper's Color Challenge, Sketch Challenge, and Crafty Secrets Challenge. The challenge for Crafty Secrets was to make a card based on something that inspired you. Well I think you all know by now that the one thing that always inspires me is my garden. That is where I am inspired emotionally, spiritually, and artistically. So I pulled out my brand new Crafty Secrets stamp set 'Garden Girls' for this project. Oh! What a beautiful set this is, especially for a gardener like me! I colored all the images with Prismacolored Pencils and Gamosol. The little girl image is cut out and mounted up on dimensionals. The main image and sentiment are also mounted up on dimensionals. I also ran the White and Cameo Coral panels through the Cuttlebug using the 'Birds and Swirls' and 'Diamonds in the Rough' Embossing Folders. Other card stock colors are Ballet Blue and Garden Green. Stickles were added to all the flowers. Ribbon, primas, and brads were added for embellishment. The Martha Stewart Lace Border Punch was used on the Ballet Blue panel, and Spellbinder's Nestabilities was used for the sentiment panel.

Yesterday I only got to spend about one hour in the garden before I was poured on. Bummer. I had hoped to be out there for several hours. Hopefully I'll get more time in the garden today, but I doubt it. They are predicting rain again. I hope its sunny wherever you are, unless your my friend Leni, then I hope its cloudy. She loves cloudy days! Don't ask. LOL!

My Early Spring Garden

Happy Spring Day to you all! I have no card to share today because I've been spending all my free time in the garden. Because I want my blog to be more than just about cards and about all things of creative interest to me, I thought I would post some early spring pictures of my garden.

The first picture is of my son and his dog Aspen enjoying a beautiful spring day in my garden. The second picture is of my son in the garden with our house in the background. My house sits high on a hill, and although there are a few garden beds around the entrance to the house, the majority of the gardens are on hillsides or well below the house. I have great legs by the way. Walking up and down the hills everyday is all the exercise I need! LOL! I always laugh when people come to visit my gardens and they are out of breath from just one trek up the hill. They usually comment 'No wonder you have such great legs!'.

Here are some early blooming tulips in the retaining walls by the back of my house.

Here are some pink and orange/red tulips. Most of my tulips aren't in bloom yet, or full bloom yet. There will be more of these beauties to come later.

Here is a picture of my 'hillside of daffodils' looking up the hill toward the house. The picture in my header is looking down the hill at the daffodils.


This is a close up of one of the many, many, many bleeding hearts on my property. I have both the pink bleeding heart and the white bleeding heart.

And the last three photographs are close ups of the many different varieties of daffodils I have. I have lost count of all the different varieties, but I sure have a ton!
